Westbury, NY: Air Supply Performs for Westbury Fans for 26th Consecutive Year
Twenty six old age ago, I had just seen my first Air Supply concert in Phoenix, Arizona. I was just 11 old age old. Who knew that so many old age later Air Supply would still be performing to sold-out crowds or that they would have got had a 26-year tally at the same venue?
My 2nd show in as many nights, I was really looking forward to Westbury. I had heard great things about this locale including that it was cozy, there wasn't a bad place in the house, the phase revolved and it was a batch of fun. This year, the show played as a 'half round', and didn't revolve. Therefore, only half the seating were sold so as not to not have got frequenters looking at the dorsums of Jed Moss, Jonni Lightfoot and Microphone Zerbe.
John Waite opened for Air Supply. His public presentation was energized and the crowd really got revved up when he sang his hit "Missing You". He and his set played a twelve songs and Toilet Waite was very friendly with the audience. A few people yelled out to him wanting to hear certain songs, and he responded to them personally, much like Truncheon Ocean did the nighttime before. Toilet and his set had to make a small powwow after each song because as he told the audience, they just changed their set listing and lost it, so they had no thought which songs were supposed to be next. It was rather gratifying to see a show not so formalized by a set list. It made the eventide much more than relaxed and audience friendly. The audience really enjoyed Toilet Waite's public presentation and they set on a great show.
Air Supply came out and true to their set listing performed all the hits we know, love and have got come up to expect. Although the audience was vocalizing along and clapping, they were a small reserved. Charles Taze Charles Taze Charles Taze Russell Alfred Hitchcock and Billy Graham Russell always have got a manner of bringing any crowd into the Love Zone and by the clip Russell sang "The whisperings of the morning…," people were on their feet. Of course of study as soon as Charles Taze Russell stepped into the audience for The One That You Love, people were chasing him up and down the aisles, and Sparky had to quickly step in and pull off the crowd.
Westbury did not disappoint. Thank you to Russell, Graham, Jed, Mike, Jonni, Sparky, Brett, Moe, Nate and Mark. The show was great, the lighting and sound dramatic and the fans came out and once again enjoyed and famed Air Supply's great music and longevity.
Successful human relationships are defined by loyalty and commitment. Fans have got got shown their loyalty by continuing to come up to Westbury to see and hear Air Supply and they, in turn, have demonstrated their continued committedness to Westbury and their fans by coming back twelvemonth after year. How can you reason the strength of a human relationship permanent 26 years?
